SEATTLE - Hey there Dawg fans!

Just giving everyone an update of what the GymDawgs have been up to! I am very happy to say that we just finished up our first week of preseason, and it was awesome! It was really exciting having the whole team in the gym on Monday for the first time all together. We had some team meetings in the morning, and then came back in the afternoon for some conditioning testing. Everyone did great, and now we know where some of our strengths and weaknesses are.

Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday we hit the gym hard and had some great practices. We have done a lot of conditioning, plyo, and weight lifting this week to start getting us in the best shape that we can be in by January. Everyone was pretty sore all week, but we pushed through and ended up having great workouts.

We worked on all the events, starting to do all the skills that we want in our routines this year. Bars proved to be one of our toughest events this week, and I would say just about everyone has a rip or four to show for all the hard work that was put in.

We should give a special shout out to the freshmen who survived their first week of preseason and also finished up their early fall start classes this week. They have been working really hard in the gym and classroom, all while learning to adjust to the college life. They are a great bunch of girls, and we are all so happy that they are with us this year!

We had the weekend off to have some fun and go to the football game on Saturday! We are ready for another full week of great workouts! Everyone is pumped for the rest of preseason and we are ready to make big things happen this year!

GO DAWGS!
