GymDawgs Primed For Huge Score At Pac-12's

CORVALLIS, Ore. -The Pac-12's Gymnastics Championship is here and for the first time fans can watch both sessions live on the Pac-12 Networks. The first session Saturday at 1:30 p.m. features the GymDawgs, Arizona, Cal and Arizona State. The second session at 7 p.m. will feature the top four seeds, Utah, UCLA, Oregon State and Stanford. Oregon State is this year's host, hosting the meet at their home gym, Gil Coliseum. Jim Watson will have the play-by-play and Amanda Borden will provide analysis for the Pac-12 Networks. The meet will re-air several times including Sunday, March 24 at 1 a.m. and 3:30 a.m.; Thursday, March 28 at 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Check your local listings for the times in your area and on your cable provider. Scores from the two sessions will be combined to determine team and individual winners. The all-conference team, coach of the year, gymnast of the year and newcomer of the year will be announced at the conclusion of the meet. Washington is the six seed for this year's meet and will start on bars. The Huskies are 26th in the country with a 195.765 RQS. The Huskies are coming off of their best score in the modern scoring era (2005) in their senior night meet vs. SPU and BYU last Friday with a 196.625. The GymDawgs have faced several Pac-12 teams on the season already, defeating Cal in the first home meet of 2013 on Jan. 18, falling to Oregon State, twice, on Jan. 26 at the Metroplex Challenge in Texas and March 9 in Corvallis, defeating Arizona on Feb. 1 in Seattle, tying Utah on Feb. 15 in Seattle and winning at Arizona State on Feb. 22. At the 2012 Pac-12 Championships, the Huskies placed third in the first session with a 194.125 and seventh overall. UCLA won the meet. | ||||||||||||
