WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - Freshman Allison Northey (Sammamish, Wash.) repeated as the Pac-12 Newcomer of the Week for the week of Feb. 18-24. Northey competed in the all-around for the second-straight week and placed third overall as the UW posted its second-highest score of the season, a 196.000 at ASU. Northey finished third on vault (9.825) and bars (9.850) and fourth on beam (9.800). Her bars scored tied her career-high. She also won the award last week for her performance against No. 6 Utah. It was the first time she competed in the all-around as a collegiate. Makayla Stambaugh from Oregon State is the Gymnast of the Week and Lia Del Priore from Utah is the Event Specialist of the Week. |
