GymDawgs Return Home For Pac-12 Dual Meet

SEATTLE -The GymDawgs return home Friday to host their first of two Pac-12 dual meets against No. 12 Arizona at 7 p.m. in Alaska Airlines Arena. The UW Men's Club team will also compete against the Air Force men's team.

The Huskies have continued to improve their overall team score in each of their three meets on the season and posted a team-high 194.875 last week at the Metroplex Challenge. Junior Aliza Vaccher (Eugene, Ore.) won the floor against competitors from four top 25 teams with a career-high 9.925. Senior Lauren Rogers(Plains, Pa.) had a career-best 39.175 in the all-around.

Aubree Cristello ranks 12th in the country in the all-around for Arizona with a 39.319 average and 15th on beam with a 9.863 average. Kristin Klarenbach ranks 17th on floor with a 9.881 average.

The two teams met last year in Tucson, Ariz., and the Wildcats defeated the Huskies 195.675-194.925. McKenzie Fechterfor the Huskies, just a freshmen at the time, placed second in the all-around with a 39.275 with a 9.825 on vault and a 9.850 on bars, beam and floor.

Join the GymDawgs after the meet for the 5th Event outside the Hall of Fame. The 5th Event is free for all and a great chance for fans to get to meet the GymDawgs up close, get pictures with the team and autographs.

It is also Alumni Night as GymDawg alumni and family are invited to attend the meet and will be honored in between the second and third rotations.
