Haley Bogart Ends Season at the 2008 NCAA Championships

April 24, 2008

Complete Results

Athens, Ga. - Freshman Haley Bogart (Woodside, Calif.) competed at the 2008 NCAA Championships this afternoon at Stegeman Coliseum on the campus of the University of Georgia. Despite stumbles on two events, Bogart remained composed at her first NCAA Championship and set a new career-high mark on the uneven bars.

Bogart, who earned a bid to her first NCAA Championships with a fourth-place all-around finish at the West Regional two weeks ago, competed alongside LSU during the first session at the team preliminaries and all-around finals. The Tigers and Bogart kicked things off on floor during the second rotation after a bye in the first round. Bogart tallied a 9.2 on floor, but rebounded in the third rotation, with a 9.7 on vault.

After her second and final bye, Bogart shined on bars, scoring a career-high 9.775. Bogart's previous best on bars was a 9.725 against Utah more than two months ago.

In the final rotation, Bogart stumbled, scoring a 9.1 on beam to finish with her season-low 37.775 in the all-around. She finished in 20th place in the all-around, and without a top-four finish on an individual event, Bogart's season ended today.
