Simpson wins all-around competition.

BOISE, Idaho - Junior All-American Tiffany Simpson won the all-around competition with a score of 39.025 to lead Washington to victory in a three-way women's gymnastics meet with Boise State and Air Force. The Huskies totaled 195.025 points to outscore second-place Boise State (194.875) while Air Force was third at 184.700.
Washington recorded its highest score this season on the balance beam (48.975) to take command of the competition. Simpson won the balance beam with a score of 9.900 and placed second on vault with a 9.825 effort. The meet marked the first time this season that UW senior Klara Kudilkova did not win the vault. Kudilkova tied Simpson for second in the event. Kudilkova, who has been slowed by an elbow injury, did not compete in any other event except for the beam.
Sophomore Leah Waaramaki had her best meet of the season for the Huskies, scoring a 38.900 to place third in the all-around competition. She set career highs on three events during the meet.
Washington will finish the regular season Friday when the Huskies play host to Boise State and Seattle Pacific at Hec Edmundson Pavilion at 7 p.m.
