2011 (Freshman):
Won the "Heart of a Champion" award as picked by the coaches ... named Gohuskies.com Student-Athlete of the Week on April 13 ... competed in the all-around in nine meets, the vault, bars and beam in all 12 and the floor in 11 ... advanced to the NCAA Championships in the all-around tying for 19th with a score of 39.075 ... at NCAAs placed fourth-best out of all freshmen in the all-around, just missing out of earning All-American honors (top 16) .... it was also the best score by a Husky in the all-around at NCAA Championships since Lauren Riesenman also scored a 39.075 in 1999 .... Vaccher became the second Husky under current head coach Bowers to make NCAA's in the all-around as a freshman, along with former Husky Haley Bogart ... she tied a career-high on floor with a 9.800 ... in her session, she finished ninth in the all-around, tied for 27th on vault (9.800), tied for 28th on bars (9.775), tied for 23rd on beam (9.700) and tied for 22nd on floor (9.800) ... finished second in the all-around at the NCAA Normal Regional to earned the automatic berth to the NCAAs with a 39.250 ... at Regionals set new career-highs on the vault (9.850), floor (9.800) and the all-around and led the team on the vault, beam (9.775), floor and all-around ... won three event titles on the year, the all-around vs. Cal on Feb. 19 with a 38.925 and vs. Air Force/SPU on March 11 with a 39.025 ... won the bars at ASU on Feb. 18 with a 9.875, a career-high and finished third in the all-around with a 38.925 ... tied for the Husky lead in her first-ever collegiate meet on the beam at the Pac-10 Showcase on Jan. 9 with a 9.725 ... competed in the all-around for the first time in the Quad Meet on Jan. 15 posting a 38.625 to finish second ... finished tied for third on the bars vs. Cal with a 9.775 ... tied for third on the vault at SPU on Feb. 4 with a 9.750 ... placed second at the Salbasgeon Suites Invitational at Oregon State on Feb. 25 in the all-around with a 39.025 ... finished second in the all-around vs. Michigan State on March 4 with a score of 38.925 ... tied for fifth at the Pac-10 Championships with teammate Amanda Cline on vault with a career-best 9.850 ... tied for second on beam at the meet with a career-high 9.900 ... was the top Husky finisher in the all-around, placing eighth with a 39.050.

Aliza Elyse Vaccher was born in Eugene, Ore. ... she moved to Arizona when she was 16 ... her parents are Joe and Lauri Vaccher ... mother, Lauri competed in gymnastics at Indiana State ... hobbies include baking and hanging out with friends ... when she was little she admired Kerri Strug for her courage ... chose to attend UW because it felt like home and she loves the coaching staff, the campus, the team and the city.
