Ink Aleaga is in his fifth season as Academic Advisor at the University of Washington.
Prior to his current position, Aleaga was the Academic Coordinator at UW for seven years, where he worked closely with advisors and student-athletes.
In 2006, Aleaga was the University of Washington Athletic Department Employee of the Month for January. He was then one of five members nominated by the N4A (National Association of Academic Advisors for Athletes) for "Leadership Promise Award" for Region 5 in 2007. And in 2008, he was one of 14 candidates who were selected for the Professional Development Institute, by the N4A, which emphasized leadership skills necessary to become a skillful and successful Athletic Director.
He spent three years with the New Orleans Saints from 1997-99.
All of his education came from the University of Washington, where Aleaga earned a bachelor of arts, with a double major in sociology and American ethnic studies. He came back in 2007 to finish his masters of education, with a focus on educational leadership and policy studies.
He was a four-time football letterman for the UW Huskies. He earned All-America Honors, two First-Team Pac-10 honors, and was named team captain his senior season.
