LPGA Final Qualifying Leaderboard

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Former Husky golfers Molly Aronsson and Anya Alvarez wrapped up the first of six days of the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament and are tied for 37th and 58th, respectively.

The 90-hole tournament is being played on the Champions and Legends Courses of LPGA International in Daytona Beach, Fla.

The Husky duo each played on the Champions Course and finished one-stroke apart. Aronsson fired a 1-over 73 and Alvarez shot a 74.

Christine Song is the first round leader after a 6-under 66. Stephanie Kono, an amateur from UCLA, is second after a 67. Both played on the Champions Course.

After 72 holes, the 139-person field is whittled down to 70 players and ties. The final top 40 and ties will receive 2012 LPGA Tour membership, while the other players who make the cut will receive LPGA Futures Tour status.
