Husky Women Say Aloha To Fall Season

KAHUKU, Hawai'i - The Washington women's golf team closes out the 2009 fall season at The Turtle Bay Resort Invitational starting Monday, Nov. 2 on the north shore of O'ahu in Kahuku, Hawai'i.
The women will play the first two rounds at the George Fazio designed par 72, 6,261-yard course and will play the final round on the Arnold Palmer designed, par 72, 6,361-yard track.
The Huskies will bring a lineup of junior Karinn Dickinson, junior Anya Alvarez, senior Christina Yoon, senior Molly Aronsson and sophomore Sadena Parks to compete in the three-round tournament. Dickinson is coming off a ninth-place finish at the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown.
Washington is ranked 35th in the latest Golfweek poll, while Alvarez is ranked 35th in the individual standings.
This is the first year that the Turtle Bay Resort Invitational has included a women's field. Washington will be fighting for the inaugural championship against Brigham Young, California, Gonzaga, Hawai`i, Long Beach State, New Mexico State, Oregon State, Oral Roberts, San Diego State, San Jose State, Santa Clara, Oregon, Toledo, Tulsa, UC Davis, UCLA and USC.
