Tough Field Awaits Huskies At Stanford Intercollegiate

STANFORD, Calif. - After a third place finish in the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational at Sahalee Country Club, the Husky women's golf team will head to Northern California to take on another tough field of collegiate golfers. The three day, 54-hole Stanford Intercollegiate hosted by the Cardinal will be played at the Stanford Golf Course from Oct. 14-16. Played as a 6,100 yard, par-71 the Stanford Course will be a fair test for the competitors. Ranked as the 3rd best collegiate golf course in 2009 by The Golf Channel, the Stanford Course brings prestige and history to the 2011 event. In addition to Golfweek.com's 32nd-ranked Huskies the tournament field will include: Arizona State (6), Denver, Kent State, Oklahoma State (8), Oregon (30), Oregon State, San Diego State, San Jose State, Southern California (7), Stanford, Texas (10), UC-Davis (23), UCLA (1), Vanderbilt (9), and Virginia(14). Coach Mary Lou Mulflur will go with the same line up as the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational consisting of Soo Bin Kim, Cyd Okino, Kelli Bowers, Sadena Parks, and Jennifer Yang. Yang finished tied for second at the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational. Tee times will start at 8:30am on Oct. 14th and 15th and 7:30am on Oct. 16th.
