POWELL, Ohio - Washington teammates Kelli Bowers and Jennifer Yang shot 6-under 66 in the best ball portion of the Pure Silk Women's Collegiate Championship on Wednesday at Wedgewood Golf & Country Club in Powell, Ohio. The stellar round moved the Husky duo to even par overall and into a tie for 10th with five other teams. Bowers, who will be a junior this fall at Washington, and Yang, who will be a sophomore, began the day tied for 19th. Yang had six birdies and Bowers had three during the day. The pair only had to count one bogey during the round. Three teams are tied for the lead at 6-under 138 overall. Thursday's final round of the tournament will be team stroke play. |
