Canadian Women's Amateur Championship

LETHBRIDGE, Alb. - SooBin Kim shot 3-over 75 in the third round of the Royale Cup Canadian Women's Amateur Championship on Thursday and sits tied for ninth heading into Friday's final round at Lethbridge Country Club.

Kim, a second-team All-Pac-12 selection as a freshman, is 2-over 218 through 54 holes. She fired a 67 on Wednesday after a 76 in Tuesday's opening round.

Joining Kim in the tournament is fellow Husky Monica Huang, who redshirted last season at Washington. Huang was 11-over on Thursday with an 83. She is +25 for the tournament and is 71st among the 79 competitors that made the cut.

Ariya Jutanugarn of Thailand is running away from the pack. She is -15 after shooting 7-under 65. She has a 10 shot lead over two competitors.

The tournament champion earns exemptions into the CN Canadian Women's Open and the U.S. Women's Amateur Championship.
