SEATTLE - Husky golfers Jennifer Yang and Sadena Parks both qualified for the U.S. Women's Amateur Championship, which will be hosted at The Country Club in Cleveland, Ohio from Aug. 6-12.

Yang, who just completed her freshman year at Washington, was one of four golfers competing at a qualifying tournament at The Pinery Country Club in Parker, Colo. to make the U.S. Am field. Yang ended tied for second after shooting a 74.

Parks, a June graduate from UW, shot 68 to win her sectional at The Country Club at DC Ranch in Scottsdale, Ariz.

The 112th U.S. Women's Amateur Championship consists of two rounds of stroke play with 156 competitors on Monday, Aug. 6 and Tuesday, Aug. 7. The top 64 will advance to match play which will run Wednesday through Sunday of that week.
