CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. - Cyd Okino, who just completed her freshman year at Washington, was recently named to the National Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Team for Division I. The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50. Okino (Punahou HS/Honolulu, Hawai'i) earned a 3.51 GPA during her first year at Washington to earn a spot on the team. She is undeclared on her major. Okino competed in 11 events for the Huskies and had a 76.13 scoring average. She had four top-25 finishes, highlighted by fifth in her college debut at The Cougar Cup. |
