Women's Golf Stands in Second Place

 

April 10, 1999

Stanford, CA -- Washington's 13th-ranked women's golf team currently stands in second-place after Day One competition at the Peg Barnard Classic held in Stanford, Calif. The Huskies shot an 18-over-par 72 to card a 306. Washington trails host Stanford by six shots heading in to tomorrow's play.

All-America candidate Kelli Kamimura shot a three-over-par 75 to place fifth overall individually. Husky Elisha Au also shot a 75 on the day.

The two-day classic ends with play tomorrow morning.
