Washington Women's Golf Finishes Eighth at Spartan Invite
March 8, 2000 Monterey, Calif.-The Washington women's golf team finished in eighth place at the Spartan Invitational. The team combined for a total of 940 during the three-day tournament. Arizona State captured the tournament title with a score of 905. Host San Jose State was runner-up after taking 911 strokes over the Laguna Seca Golf Course. Tulsa's Stacy Prammansudh claimed the individual title with a 2-over score of 218. JoAnn Heller was in next, carding a 224 for Oklahoma State. For Washington, sophomore Kelli Kamimura finished strong in a tie for sixth place. Junior Elisha Au came in second for the Huskies with a score of 233. Washington will next travel to Tempe, Arizona for the ASU Invitational, April 7-9.
