UW Women's Golf in Ninth at Spartan Invitational

Monterey, CA-The Washington Women's golf team finished the first round of the Spartan Invitational in ninth place with a team-total of 315. Host San Jose State leads the 14-team field after carding a first-round total of 299. Round one was originally scheduled to take place yesterday, but came to a halt due to wet grounds.
Stacy Prammanasudh (Tulsa), Meghan Bolger (Tulane) and Helle Gram (San Jose St.) all finished the first round at par to lead the event. For Washington, junior Elisha Au and sophomore Kelli Kamimura each took 76 strokes over the course to come in tied at 15th.
The second round will be completed late today and the final round will be held on Wednesday, March 8.
