SAN JOSE, Calif. - Washington heads to San Jose, Calif. this week to play in the two-day, 54-hole Juli Inkster Spartan Invitational at the Almaden Golf and Country Club.

The tournament begins Monday morning with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start followed by the second round in the afternoon. Tuesday's final round at the par-72, 6,169-yard course is set for an 8:30 start.

Washington is 13th in the latest Golfstat rankings, making them the highest rated team in the 12 team field. Other top-25 ranked teams competing are No. 21 Oregon, No. 23 California and No. 25 UC Davis. California is the three-time defending tournament champion.

Rounding out the field are Colorado State (82nd), Fresno State (78), Gonzaga (96), Hawai'i (181), Nevada (105), San Francisco (91), host San Jose State (73) and UC Irvine (80).

Freshman SooBin Kim headlines the Huskies lineup. The freshman is ranked 25th by Golfstat.com. She is coming off a third-place showing at the Peg Barnard Invitational.

Fellow freshman Cyd Okino will golf from the No. 2 hole for Washington, followed by sophomore Kelli Bowers, junior Brittany Tallman and freshman Jennifer Yang.

Washington was third in their last event at Stanford Golf Course, the teams' first spring tournament.
