UW Women's Golf in Ninth at Arizona Invitational

TUCSON, Ariz. - The Washington women's golf team sits in ninth place with a team-total of 297 at the Arizona Invitational. Stanford, who took 284 strokes over the par 72, 6,003 yard Randolph Park Golf Course, leads the 18-team field. Top-ranked Duke is five strokes behind the Cardinal at 1-over.
Beth Bauer finished first in the individual standings after carding an 18-hole total of 67. Stanford's Kim Rowton threatens the lead, one stoke back at 68.
For the Huskies, Sophomore Kelli Kamimura fired a 72 and finished in a nine-way tie at 10th place. Freshman Louise Friberg was in next at 19th place after shooting a 73, her lowest mark as a Husky. Junior Elisha Au, who was playing in the number one spot for Washington, ended the day at 69th in the standings after struggling in the first round.
The Arizona Invitational continues Feb. 22-23.
