UW Women Tied For Second In Hawai'i

HONOLULU, Hawai'i. -- The Husky women's golf team played 36 holes at Kapolei Golf Course in Honolulu, Hawai'i on Tuesday during the Rainbow Wahine Invitational and find themselves in prime position to end their 2011 fall season on a high note.
Washington is tied for second at +8. Top-ranked UCLA is running away from the rest of the field and was -10.
Nearly matching the Huskies after day one of play was Florida International, who like the Huskies shot +8 through two rounds. Stanford is two storkes back at +10.. San Jose is the next closest team and is +10.
Third among the Huskies was Honolulu native Cyd Okino. The freshman from Punahou HS, the same high school President Barack Obama attended, shot even-par 72 in the morning and was 4-over in the second round. She is tied for 16th.
Final round play will resume from Hawai'i on Wednesday morning.
