UW Women's Golfers Struggle, Finish 10th

MONTEREY, Calif. -- The Washington women's golf team finished in 10th place after bad weather caused unusually high scores on Fort Ord's Bayonet Course in San Jose State Spartan Invitational. The Huskies carded a third round 331 to give them a tournament total of 1007. Washington was led by the play of junior Mendy Cooper who finished in a tie for 18th overall with 241. Arizona State leap-frogged Arizona by carding a 301 during Wednesday's final round to take the team title with a 54-hole total of 936.
