Three Huskies, led by SooBin Kim in fifth, are among the top 10 after the first of three rounds of the 2013 Pac-12 Women's Golf Championship at Valencia Country Club.
SooBin Kim, Ying Luo and Charlotte Thomas have come from Korea, Canada, China, England, and Singapore to become Huskies. Now they are anchoring the youngest, most talented team UW has had.

Washington Notes:
Part of the one of Washington's best classes ever that also featured SooBin Kim and Jennifer Yang.
Has only missed one tournament in her first two seasons.
Had a great college debut, finishing fifth at the Cougar Cup.
2012-13 (Sophomore)
Played in all 12 tournaments, shooting under par in 5 rounds.
Shot a career-low 217 in the season-opening OSU Invitational, which included a career-best tying 68 in the second round.
Best finish of the year came in the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational with a sixth-place finish.
Shot 3-under 69 in the final round of the Pac-12 championship to help the Huskies to its best-ever result of second at the Conference tourney.
Tied for 5th in her collegiate debut at the WSU Cougar Cup, her only top-10 finish this season.
2011-12 (Freshman)
Played in 11 of 12 events.
Made her college debut at the Cougar Cup and finishing fifth, which ended up being her season best.
Fired a 4-under-par 68 in her second collegiate round, which stood up as her season-low round.
Had four top-25 finishes in 11 tournament appearances.
Never was the Huskies top finisher during the season, but was second four times.
Low 54-hole score was 220 (+4) at the Pacific Coast Championship.
Junior Golf and Personal:
Okino was first recognized for her golfing in 2001, placing top-10 in a number of tournaments (Junior World Championships, U.S. Kids Championship Williamsburg, etc.)
Earned her way into the U.S. Women's Open at the age of 14 after winning the Turtle Bay Qualifier.
Second at the 2011 Hawai'i Women's Stroke Play Championship in July.
Was ninth individually in both 2009 and 2010 in the Hawai'i High School State Golf Championship, where her school Punahou won the team championship.
Titled Hawai'i State Open-Women's Division Champion in 2007 and again in 2008.
Was 9 years old to become the youngest person ever to tee it up in the venerable Jenny K golf tournament at Mid-Pacific Country Club in 2003.
Born in Honolulu, Hawai'i and attended Punahou High School -- the same school attended by President Barack Obama.
