June 14, 2006 Have you seen the "Heart of the Game" movie this week? During our season this past year I was invited by the Seattle Storm to enjoy a special "sneak preview" of the documentary. My director of basketball operations Kate Werner and I attended the showing and sat with Sonics/Storm Senior Vice President Karen Bryant. What an interesting piece of film work! Hats off to Coach Bill Resler (a UW professor on campus) for his coaching and care of his players throughout the entire presentation! I really appreciate his wit and his approach for maintaining the wellbeing of his players first and foremost. There are several stories within the story that will open up some people's eyes to high school sports, its daily issues and concerns. Way to go Roosevelt Roughriders! It was fun to relive your state title run! Grab some popcorn and sit down and enjoy the show!
