SEATTLE - Freshman Talia Walton from the women's basketball team has been named the GoHuskies.com Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Dec. 3-10.
The Federal Way, Wash., native hit the game-winning 3-point basket in a huge 59-58 win on Dec. 5 at home against San Diego State.
The Huskies trailed by as many as 19 in the second half but rallied behind the team-high 17 points of Walton. She added five rebounds, a block and a steal.
Other nominees include: Scott Suggs (men's basketball) and Krista Vansant (volleyball).
