Women's Basketball Hosts Final Free Clinic
Aug. 17, 2000 The Washington women's basketball team hosts it final free clinic Aug. 23, emphasizing skill development and fundamentals for young girls. It is the last of four clinics the team has hosted. The clinics, which began August 9, are free and open to girls from age eight to 13. Several members of the Husky women's team, along with the coaching staff, are on hand to give instruction. "We feel this is a great opportunity to give back to the community, to have clinics that are available to everyone," Husky head coach June Daugherty said. "Our players enjoy working with the young girls and giving them the experience of interacting one-on-one with the Husky team. It's a fun thing for our team and we hope to continue offering these clinics throughout the year."
