Women's Basketball to be honored at Sonics game
April 18, 2001 Seattle - The Washington women's basketball team will be honored in a pre-game ceremony on the court at tonight's Seattle Supersonics game at 7 p.m. at KeyArena. Senior team captain Megan Franza, who could possibly be selected in the Friday WNBA draft, is set to participate in the ceremonial tip-off for the Sonics' game versus San Antonio. Washington completed the 2001 season after advancing to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament. The Huskies finished with a record of 22-10 and are ranked No. 14 in the April 2 ESPN/USA Today Top 25 Coaches Poll. |
