The Huskies snapped a two-game losing skid in exciting fashion, playing perhaps their best game of the season in a 77-48 rout of visiting Arizona. Now the Dawgs turn their attention to Arizona State, a program known for its tough, trapping defense.
Despite the one-year absence of Charli Turner Thorne, who built ASU into a national powerhouse, the Sun Devils have yet to show any signs of slippage, and come into their game against the Huskies having won four straight.
Washington will face a team that mirrors itself: compact defense and opportunistic scoring. Whoever can make the plays down the stretch should take control when the two teams meet on Saturday at 2 p.m.

Broadcast/Media
For regular season and postseason games, 13-year veteran Steve Sandmeyer handles all play-by-play duties for the Washington Huskies - both home and away - on KKNW 1150AM. Sandmeyer is once again joined by color analyst (and former UW letterwinner) Elise Woodward for home games.
The game will also be broadcast live by UWTV. Michael Preston will provide the play-by-play, and former Husky letterwinner Liz Lay will add the color commentary. A live stream of the broadcast is available on GoHuskies for a small fee.
Live stats for the game will be available on GameTracker. Fans can also participate in an interactive chat during the game on gohuskies.com.

Husky Storylines
• Washington comitted a season-low nine turnovers against Arizona, including two in the first half. Coincidentally, the Huskies scored 28 points off 23 U of A giveaways. • The Huskies equaled their win total (11) from all of last season.
• The 28 points from Jazmine Davis tied the mark for fourth-best frosh scoring output, which had been previously held by Loree Payne in 2000.
Regina Rogers tallied her ninth career double-double, and fifth this season.
• The 48 points scored by Arizona was the lowest the Huskies defense has allowed in a Pac-12 game since Oregon State scored 49 on March 5, 2010.
• Washington's 29-point victory over Arizona was the third largest margin of victory between two Pac-12 schools this season.
Mercedes Wetmore tied her career-high with six assists against Arizona. The sophomore guard committed just one turnover in the process.
Kellie McCann-Smith set a new season high with three steals against U of A. • Washington improved to 8-2 at Alaska Airlines Arena this season.

Other UW Quick Hitters
• The Huskies are 20th nationally in field-goal percentage defense, holding opponents to just 34.2 percent from the floor.
• After going 8-of-9 against Arizona, Regina Rogers retook the national lead in FG percentage. The redshirt senior makes 63.4 percent of her shots.
• Washington is 7-1 when it holds a lead at halftime. The lone loss was when Oregon rallied to erase a 16-point deficit in Eugene earlier this season.

About Arizona State
• Arizona State University is located in Tempe, Ariz., in the Phoenix metroplex. The Sun Devils come into the game against UW third in the Pac-12 standings after a 63-46 victory at Washington State.
• Kimberly Brandon leads the Sun Devils on offense with 10.9 ppg, in addition to 7.2 rebounds per contest. The rangy forward has posted three double-doubles this season, including one in the Sun Devils' win at WSU.
• No other Sun Devil player averages in double figures. In fact, only one Arizona State player (Brandon) has managed to crack the 20-point barrier once this season. • ASU forces opponets to shoot just 33 percent from the floor, a mark that ranks sixth in the NCAA.
• RS senior Kali Bennett is 16th in the nation in swats per game, averaging 2.7.
Bennett is also just four blocks away from setting the single-season ASU record. • With its tough interior, it's no surprise ASU is 12th in the country in scoring defense, holding opponents to 51.8 points per game.

Series Record: Year in and year out, the Huskies and the Sun Devils can't seem to out-distance one another. Washington holds a 27-26 record in the two programs' histories, but ASU comes into the matchup having won the last three contests. The Huskies are 18-8 when the two teams meet in Seattle.

Noteworthy: Bennett signed with Washington and played one season in Seattle before transferring to Arizona State ... the 6-5 Bennett grew up in the same town (Ventura, Calif.) as former UW letterwinner Sami Whitcomb ... Arizona State came into this season with a dramatic facelift to the program. Outside of a new (interim) head coach, the Sun Devils welcomed two new assistants and four incoming players.

Up Next For The Huskies
The Huskies are back on the road to close out the first half of Pac-12 play with a trip to the Los Angeles schools. Up first is a date with UCLA, which is folding a new coach (Cori Close) following the departure of Nikki Caldwell to LSU.

Go Huskies!
