The Huskies returned to the friendly confines of Alaska Airlines Arena, picking up a 75-67 win over a previously undefeated Colorado squad. Now their attention turns towards Utah, a team the Huskies are familiar with on a small level, having faced the Utes last season in Salt Lake City, when the Utes were members of the Mountain West Conference.
Utah makes its first visit to Seattle since the 2005-06 season, and is coming off a loss at Washington State. The Utes couldn't stop the Cougars in the second, falling 60-48 at Friel Court.
A coveted weekend sweep is on the line for the Huskies, who have not accomplished the feat since defeating both Oregon schools at the end of the 2009-10 regular season.

Broadcast/Media
For regular season and postseason games, 13-year veteran Steve Sandmeyer handles all play-by-play duties for the Washington Huskies - both home and away - on KKNW 1150AM. Sandmeyer is once again joined by color analyst (and former UW letterwinner) Elise Woodward for home games.
The game will also be broadcast live by UWTV. Michael Preston will provide the play-by-play, and former Husky letterwinner Liz Lay will add the color commentary. A live stream of the broadcast is available on GoHuskies for a small fee.
Live stats for the game will be available on GameTracker. Fans can also participate in an interactive chat during the game on gohuskies.com.

Husky Storylines
• Washington outrebounded a Colorado team that came into the game as one of the best in that category nationally. The Buffs are 12th in the nation in rebounding margin at +10.5.
• The Huskies tied for their best output of the season scoring points in the paint with 42.
• Washington has won its last seven home games. The last time the Dawgs have won eight straight home contests came during the 2006-07 season.
• With 27 points against the Buffaloes, Jazmine Davis assumed the mantle as the Pac-12's top-scoring freshman. The San Jose, Calif., native is averaging 12.6 ppg. • Compared to this same juncture last season, the Huskies are +14.6 in scoring and +7.0 on the boards in terms of overall scoring/rebounding output.
Charmaine Barlow recently snapped her streak of 39 consecutive games started. The Huskies utilized their fifth different starting lineup of the season against Colorado.
• During Pac-12 play, Washington is second in the conference in scoring (72.0 ppg) behind Stanford.

Other UW Quick Hitters
• Washington is 29th nationally in field goal percentage defense, holding opponents to just 33.9 percent shooting from the floor. The Huskies are 30th in rebounding margin at +7.7.
Regina Rogers slipped to fourth place nationally in field goal percentage, making 64 percent of her shots.
Jazmine Davis leads the Pac-12 in free-throw percentage, having made 48 of 57 attempts (.842). Davis also top-10 in 3-point FG percentage (.373) and 3-point FG made per game (1.7).

About Utah
• The University of Utah is located in Salt Lake City, and is one of two recent additions to the Pac-12 Conference, making the move this summer from the Mountain West Conference. The Utes play their home games at the Huntsman Center.
• The Utes are coached by Anthony Levrets, who has coached for several years in the Pacific Northwest. The second-year head coach has stops at Southern Oregon, Willamette (Ore.) and Lane College (Ore.). He took over the top spot at Utah following the retirement of Elaine Elliott, who had coached for 31 years at UU.
• Michelle Plouffe leads the Utes in scoring with 15.4 points per game. The sophomore from Edmonton, Alberta, had a busy summer, touring Europe with the Canadian National Team before playing in the FIBA U19 World Championships in Chile.
• Fellow Canadian Taryn Wicijowski returns to the Utes after missing most of last season with an ACL injury. The sophomore from Regina, Saskatchewan, was the MWC Freshman of the Year in 2009-10.
• The post-dominant Utes are Top-20 in the nation in FG percentage, making almost 45 percent of their looks.

Series Record: The Huskies traveled to Salt Lake City to face the Utes in a non-conference matchup last season, with the Dawgs narrowly escaping on a late 3-pointer by Marjorie Heard ... Washington leads the overall series 5-4 and is a perfect 3-0 in games at Alaska Airlines Arena.

Noteworthy: Plouffe is a name familiar to Husky fans, as Michelle's older sister Andrea was a four-year letterwinner for the Dawgs (2005-08) ... The Utes have one Seattleite on their roster (Cheyenne Wilson), a freshman who played her high school ball at Cleveland in Beacon Hill ... Utah is one of two teams in the Pac-12 with two players (Plouffe & Wicijowski) in the Top-10 in scoring & rebounding ... Stanford is the other.

Up Next For The Huskies
The Huskies return to the road, making the short trip over to Pullman to face Washington State. For Kevin McGuff, it's his first chance to experience the intensity of the Apple Cup matchup with the Cougars. Tip-off from Friel Court is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 14.

Go Huskies!
