February 28, 1999 SEATTLE (AP) - Jamie Redd scored seven of her 26 points during a late 17-4 run that propelled Washington to a 96-85 victory against No. 12 UCLA on Saturday. UCLA led by five points with nine minutes left before Washington's decisive run, which included a 3-pointer, fast break layup and put-back by Redd. Amber Hall scored 23 points, Megan Franza 16 and LeAnn Sheets 14 for Washington (14-12, 10-7 Pac-10). Hall and Redd both grabbed 10 rebounds for the Huskies. LaCresha Flannigan scored 22 points and Maylana Martin had 14 for UCLA (21-7, 13-3). UCLA lost only its fifth conference game out of its last 28 and fell a full game behind first-place Oregon in the Pac-10. There were nine lead changes in the second half before Washington took the lead for good on two free throws by Sheets with 6:37 left. Paced by Redd's six points, Washington jumped out to a 15-7 lead seven minutes into the game. The lead was then traded six times until UCLA took a 34-31 halftime lead. Washington played its last game in Hec Edmundson Pavilion before a $39 million renovation to the 1927 arena.
