FRESNO, CA -- Washington's Ari Strasberg, a No. 6 seed, upset No. 3 seed Adrian Barnes of Cal 5-0, retired, in the quarterfinals of the Wathen/Hancock Bulldog Classic hosted by Fresno State. Strasberg will compete in the semi-finals scheduled to begin Saturday afternoon.

Also competing in the quarterfinals for the Huskies was No. 4 seed Andrej Bizjak who was defeated by Oregon's Oded Teig 6-4, 6-3.

The first round of doubles matches concluded earlier today with Washington duo Matt Leon/Marius Lunde defeating Artunian/Fleming of Santa Clara 8-2. The second round of doubles matches will begin Saturday afternoon and conclude with the finals on Sunday evening.
