SKILLMAN, N.J. - More academic honors rolled in for the Husky men's tennis team this week, as the Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced its academic awards. The Huskies qualified for the team award, and five individuals earned distinction as well.

To qualify as a team, the Huskies needed to carry a cumulative grade point average above a 3.20. For the 2011-12 academic year, the men sported a combined 3.39 GPA. Stanford and UCLA were the only other Pac-12 schools to earn the team award.

Individual honors require a 3.50 GPA or higher for the past academic year. Huskies who exceeded that mark included senior Skyler Tateishi, sophomore Max Manthou, redshirt freshman Nicholas Kamisar, freshman Emmett Egger, and freshman Viktor Farkas.

Kamisar, Manthou, and senior Matt Stith were previously named to the Pac-12 All-Academic First Team last month as well.

Go Huskies!
