The 2007 Wilson/ITA Northwest Regional Championships will consist of a 70-player singles draw and 32-team doubles draw. Three opening "play-in" singles matches will whittle the singles field down to 64. A 32-player singles consolation draw will be held only for those players losing their first round match.
The singles and doubles champions will earn automatic bids into the ITA National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships, held in Columbus, Ohio in November. The ITA National Indoors is the second of college tennis' three majors and the most difficult to gain entry into due to a small field of 32 singles entrants and 16 doubles entrants.
The Wilson/ITA Northwest Regional Championships are one of nine Regional tournaments taking place over the next two weeks. The Northwest Region will be the first of the nine to crown champions.
