Farkas And Hawke Take Nordstrom Doubles Title

SEATTLE - Washington wrapped up the fall season on Monday with the conclusion of the Nordstrom Fall Open. Viktor Farkas and Jeff Hawke took home the doubles title to lead the Huskies, while the final four of the singles had an all-Washington flare.
Farkas and Hawke defeated Hudson Barhart and Wendell Watanabe, 8-4. It was the sophomores who took the title over their younger counterparts.
In singles, two current Dawgs fell to a UW alum and current volunteer assistant, Scoville Jenkins. Jenkins defeated Max Manthou, 6-1, 6-0, while alum Daniel Chu defeated Hawke, 7-6 (3), 6-7 (5), 6-1. In the final, Jenkins took down Chu by a score of 6-3, 7-6 (5).
Monday marks the completion of the fall season for the Huskies. The Dawgs will next compete when it opens the 2013 campaign against Gonzaga on January 12 back at the Nordstrom Tennis Center.
