Four Dawgs Move On With A Pair Of Singles Wins

SEATTLE -- The Dawgs continued play from the Nordstrom Fall Open on Saturday with some impressive results in single. Four players advanced into the Round of 16 by winning a pair of matches during the second day of play.
Viktor Farkas was the first to advance, winning a pair of matches, first by a withdraw and then 6-2, 7-6 (8) over Spencer Furman. Max Manthou then easily defeated Jason Lui, 6-0, 6-0, before overcome a fight from Luat Le, 3-6, 6-2, 6-4.
Also staying alive in the winners draw of the singles were Rishabh Raman and Jeff Hawke. Raman defeated Thais Minet 7-5, 6-1 and then Hunter Egger, 6-4, 6-0. Hawke disposed of Paul Yi, 6-3, 7-6 (7-0), then Stephen Chang, 6-0, 6-0.
In doubles, the team of Farkas and Hawke stayed alive moving to the semifinals. The Husky duo defeated Hanson and Moxley, 8-0, to move on to face the team of Barnhart and Watanabe.
Washington will be back in action on Sunday at the Nordstrom Fall Open. Four Dawgs will continue play in the singles draw, while Farkas and Hawke seek a title in doubles.
