Huskies Fall in the Final Day of Action at the Fresno State Bulldog Classic

Fresno, Calif. - Sophomore Mike Ricks and Freshman Daniel Chu both were defeated in their respective championship matches at the Fresno State Bulldog Classic. Ricks suffered his first defeat of the season in a grueling three set match. The all Husky Flight A doubles match up of Daniel and David Chu against the sophomore duo of Jank and Kuharszky was postponed and will be played in Seattle at a later date. David Chu lost in the Consolation Flight B Finals to Sam Tadevosian of Fresno State 7-5, 6-0. Chu played a tight first set, but let the match slip away from him in the second. Chu won two straight matches after a first round loss to reach the consolation finals. In the Fresno State Bulldog Classic Flight B Championship Tom Liversage of San Diego defeated UW's Mike Ricks. Ricks came out playing sharp in the first set, winning 6-4. The next two sets he played his opponent tight, but suffered two consecutive losses. The final score of the match was 4-6, 6-4, 6-4. The Men's Husky Tennis Team will have a two week break gearing up for the ITA Regional Championships beginning on Oct. 21.
