April 3, 1998 SEATTLE - Washington's 27th-ranked men's tennis team won its first Pac 10 Conference match of the season defeating the 41st-ranked Arizona Wildcats, 5-2, Friday afternoon. Washington improves to 1-2 in the Pac 10 and 12-4 overall while Arizona drops to 1-7 in conference and 4-9 overall. Washington has won the last three matches against the Wildcats.
The Huskies face Arizona State, Sunday, April 5 at 11 a.m. in the Nordstrom Tennis as they look to even up their conference mark.
