Huskies Down Bears for First Pac-10 Victory

SEATTLE - Washington's 18th-ranked men's tennis team evened its Pac-10 record to 1-1 with a 6-1 defeat of No. 25 California at the Nordstrom Tennis Center. Washington improves to 4-1 on the season. The Bears drop to 1-2 on the season. Eighth-ranked Robert Kendrick defeated Cal's Adrian Barnes 6-3, 6-3 to improve his record to 11-2. Head coach Matt Anger moved into a tie for fourth-place with 63 all-time coaching wins. Senior Eric Drew kept his unblemished record at 5-0 with a 6-0, 6-2 win over Cal's Chris Santoso. Washington returns to action Wednesday February 10 hosting Gonzaga at 4 p.m.
