There are currently eight ex-Husky soccer players in the MLS and one in the USL - First Division.
Mike Chabala (2002-05) Chabala was drafted by the Houston Dynamo in the fourth round of the 2006 SuperDraft. A 2005 third-team All-American for the Huskies, Chabala was also a three-time All-Pac-10 player and helped UW to its school-record NCAA Sweet 16 appearance in 2003. Chabala's Houston Dynamo Web Page
Raphael Cox (2006-08) Cox was selected in the fourth round of the 2009 MLS Draft by Real Salt Lake. He was a two-time All-Pac-10 honoree for the Huskies, including a first-team selection in 2008. Chris Eylander (2002-05) After a standout three-year stint with the USL First Division Seattle Sounders, Eylander joined the MLS ranks when he signed with Sounders FC for the inaugural campaign in 2009. He led the USL-1 in saves both in 2007 and 2008. One of the top goalkeepers to ever play at Washington, he ranks third on UW's career list for shutouts (18), fourth in saves (187) and fifth in goals against average (1.11). Kevin Forrest (2003-04; 2006-07) Forrest was originally picked up by Colorado in the 2008 MLS Supplemental Draft but joined the USL-1 Seattle Sounders in the summer of 2008. He is back in the MLS ranks after signing with Sounders FC in March, 2009. One of the top goal scorers in program history, Forrest was the 2006 Pac-10 Player of the Year and a three-time selection to the All-Pac-10 team. Ty Harden (2003-06) Harden was selected in the second round of the 2007 MLS Draft by the LA Galaxy and as a rookie in 2007, started 24 games en route to earning LA's Defender of the Year honor. He took the 2008 season off and is now with Colorado after a January trade between the clubs. George John (2005-08) John became Washington's third-highest all-time MLS draft pick and the third Husky to ever be taken in the opening round when he was selected 14th overall by FC Dallas in 2009. Brandon Prideaux (1994-97) Prideaux's 11-year MLS career has seen him play with the Kansas City Wizards, D.C. United, the Colorado Rapids and currently the Chicago Fire. Craig Waibel (1994-97) Waibel was picked up in the third round of the MLS SuperDraft by the San Jose Earthquakes in 2001. Currently with the Houston Dynamo, he has also played with the Colorado Rapids, L.A. Galaxy and San Jose Earthquakes during his career. Dusty Hudock (1991-93) Hudock was Washington's first-ever MLS Draft pick, getting picked up by Colorado in the 1996 Supplemental Draft. He as a member of the Rapids in 1996 and also played with the Miami Fusion in 1999. He is currently the goalkeeper for the A-League's Charleston Battery.
