Men's Soccer Jumps To No. 21 In Coaches Poll

SEATTLE - The UW men's soccer team jumped into the national rankings last week, coming in at No. 25 by Soccer America. After improving to 3-0-1 over the weekend, Washington was ranked No. 21 by the coaches in the NSCAA poll. The Huskies were receiving votes in the NSCAA poll last week. Soccer America had the Huskies at No. 25 last week and in a tie for 25th this week. Senior co-captain Dylan Tucker-Gangnes was honored by College Sports Madness as the Pac-12 Player of the Week for scoring twice, including the game-winner, vs. Wisconsin on Friday. He then led the UW defense to a brilliant performance against Cal State Bakersfield, holding the Roadrunners, one of the top offensive teams in the country, scoreless. The Huskies take on No. 5/1 Connecticut as the NSCAA Game of the Week that will be aired live on the Fox Soccer Channel, Friday at 4 p.m. PT. |
