SEATTLE – TopDrawerSoccer.com announced its first Team of the Week for the 2012 season and Husky senior captain Dylan Tucker-Gangnes (Bainbridge Island, Wash.) earned the nod. Tucker-Gangnes was one of two defenders selected for the team along with Eric Pothast of Marquette. View the complete team here. A total of 11 athletes made the team and Eriq Zavaleta from Indiana was named the Player of the Week. Tucker-Gangnes scored two goals for UW on the weekend, one each vs. Gonzaga and Cal Poly. He scored on a header in the season-opener vs. Gonzaga off of a corner kick from freshman James Moberg. He then took a penalty kick in the Sunday game vs. Cal Poly in the second half to give UW a 2-0 lead. The Huskies head to Portland, Ore., this weekend to face Wisconsin and Cal State Bakersfield. |
