SEATTLE -- Pac-12 coaches released their votes for conference rankings, and Pac-12 champion and NCAA runner-up UCLA was voted the favorite to win the Pac-12 regular season for the second year in a row. Cal received second place with 18 votes, and UW came in third with 17.

Washington is coming back this year after its best season in half a decade. The team earned a 12-4-2 record under first year head coach Jamie Clark, placed second in the conference and narrowly missed a trip to the NCAA tournament.

The Huskies look to begin 2012 with a core group of veterans alongside the 11 newcomers. Washington will host Gonzaga in its season opener Friday at 5 p.m. at the Husky Soccer Field. The game will also be televised on the Pac-12 network.
