SEATTLE - The MLS Supplemental Draft was held in New York on Tuesday afternoon and UW's Jamie Finch and Abdul Aman were selected.

Finch (Bothell, Wash.) was selected by the Columbus Crew in the second round with the 10th pick. There were four rounds in this draft which followed the MLS Super Draft which was last week.

Finch played all four years at UW and was one of the top defenders in the Pac-12. In 2011 alone he led a Husky defense that recorded nine shutouts. He was one of three team captains, earned All-West Region and All-Pac-12 academic and athletic honors.

The Columbus Crew out of Columbus, Ohio was one of the first 10 inaugural MLS clubs in 1994. In 2011, the Crew finished fourth in the Eastern Conference with a 13-13-8 record.

Aman, who played just one season for UW, was picked up with the 15th pick in the third round by the Seattle Sounders. Aman is originally from Seattle and in 2011 with UW scored two goals and had 17 shots.

The Sounders were second in the Western Conference last year with 18 wins, just nine losses and seven ties.

UW's Jacob Hustedt was selected by the San Jose Earthquakes in the Super Draft and Brent Richards signed with the Portland Timbers a week before the draft.

Go Huskies!
