SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - The top-ranked Washington men's soccer team came from behind to remain undefeated in six matches this season behind junior Rees Bettinger's two goals, toppling San Francisco, 2-1, in California. USF remains winless after five matches.

The Dons struck first, however, just before half-time when Carlos Fernandez took a long kick from goalkeeper Zach Vaughn, spun and put the ball past UW keeper Peter Van de Ven at 43:48.

But just four minutes into the second half, Bettinger netted his first goal of the season at 49:07 when he kicked in a tap from Craig Waibel after Wes Hart put a corner kick into play.

Then at 75:04, Bettinger converted an open look at the goal from the right side after Wes Hart made the feed. Hart now has at least one assist in every game this season.

UW outshot the Dons 12-8 and led in corner kicks (8-6) and fouls (23-15). Both keepers made four saves each.

Scoring - 1, UW, Rees Bettinger (Craig Waibel, Wes Hart), 43:48; 2, UW, Rees Bettinger (Wes Hart), 75:04. Shots - UW 12, USF 8. Saves - UW 4, USF 4. Corner Kicks - UW 8, USF 6. Fouls - UW 23, USF 15. Attendance - 420.

Go Huskies!
