Spring Season Comes To An End

UW wrapped up its tough spring schedule with a draw.

2011 (Sophomore):
Missed the year due to transfer rules.

Navy
2009 (Freshman): Uyehara had a sensational freshman season, being one of two players  to start all 19 games ... ranked tied for fourth on the team in points (5), but was tied for the team lead in goals (2) ... was third on the team in shots (18) ... started the season as a forward, but was moved to defenseman prior to the Army game ... both of his goals were of the game-winning variety ... netted the game-winning goal in Navy's 2-0 victory over Saint Francis (Pa.) in the UMBC / adidas Kick-off Classic ... added second career goal in Navy's 1-0 win over Howard ... dished out an assist against Loyola (Md.) ... was named to the UMBC / adidas Kick-off Classic all-tournament team ... recorded three shots against Saint Joseph's, Saint Francis (Pa.) and Lafayette.

Uyehara lettered three times in both soccer and track and field at Agoura High School, graduating in 2009 ... led club team, SoCal United, to the Under-16, Under-15 and Under-14 U.S. National Championships in 2007, 2006 and 2005, respectively ... as a high school senior, was all-league, all-county, all-area, first-team all-state, team MVP and league MVP ... led the league in goals (28), assists (16) and points (72) ... as a sophomore in 2007, he led the Marmonte League in assists and was a first-team all-conference selection ... was a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Spanish Honor Society ... was a finalist for the National Hispanic Award, and was on the Honor Roll all eight semesters in high school ... full name is Michael Austen Uyehara ... born July 2, 1991 ... son of Tony and Elizabeth Uyehara ... 22 of his club soccer teammates are playing Division I soccer.
