High School played club ball with the Classic FC Gladiators ... a 2010 ESPN Rise New Mexico All-State player, a three-time all-state selection, the Northern New Mexico Top Male Soccer Athlete (2009), the District 2-4A Player of the Year (2010), a three-time all-district selection, the leading scorer for his high school over the past decade with 37 goals and 40 assists ... earned multiple MVP honors and club championships ... his high school won the state championship in 2010, was a finalist in 2009 and semi-finalist in 2007 and 2008 ... is also a standout track athlete as he is the state champion in the 400m, 400m relay, 800m relay and 1600m relay.

I admire him because of his dedication to whatever he is doing ... he became well-known throughout the science community because of his hard work through Los Alamos National Laboratory, but he still would always have time for his family ... my siblings and I have been involved in several different sports, and my father has been able to help us with all of them ... he has taken time to drive me around to all my soccer tournaments and practices, and has even coached my siblings and me in basketball and baseball ...
