UW is hosting Brown and Seattle U. in the Husky Classic Friday and Sunday. The former is Clark's old Ivy League nemesis from Harvard. The latter is the rival he wants to build in a new, intercity derby.

2011 (Freshman):Had a solid freshman season, appearing in all 18 games and starting six ... got his first collegiate start versus Tulsa on Sept. 16 ... had two assists, one versus UCLA on Oct. 7 on a Brent Richards goal and one at California to Quinton Beasley on Oct. 16 ... took seven shots, with four on goal.
High School/Club The 2010 New Mexico 4A State Player of the Year ... a midfielder and defender from Los Alamos (N.M.) High School played club ball with the Classic FC Gladiators ... a 2010 ESPN Rise New Mexico All-State player, a three-time all-state selection, the Northern New Mexico Top Male Soccer Athlete (2009), the District 2-4A Player of the Year (2010), a three-time all-district selection, the leading scorer for his high school over the past decade with 37 goals and 40 assists ... earned multiple MVP honors and club championships ... his high school won the state championship in 2010, was a finalist in 2009 and semi-finalist in 2007 and 2008 ... is also a standout track athlete as he is the state champion in the 400m, 400m relay, 800m relay and 1600m relay.
Personal Andrew (Andy) Thomas Thoma was born April 29, 1993 in Los Alamos, N.M. ... parents are Ann and Dan Thoma ... has three siblings, Jon, Nick and Rachel ... was also recruited by Creighton, University of New Mexico, Oregon State and Missouri State ... former club teammate Nathaniel Pacheco plays at Gonzaga ... main hobby is golf ... lists favorite athlete as Gareth Bale, "becaue he is a great outside player with a lot of speed and is able to get goals from the outside position," ... most admires his father because, "he is well respected throughout his field of metallurgical engineering, and is an excellent father ... I admire him because of his dedication to whatever he is doing ... he became well-known throughout the science community because of his hard work through Los Alamos National Laboratory, but he still would always have time for his family ... my siblings and I have been involved in several different sports, and my father has been able to help us with all of them ... he has taken time to drive me around to all my soccer tournaments and practices, and has even coached my siblings and me in basketball and baseball ...
