Lee, Prugh Fighting For Tour Cards At Q-School

PALM DESERT, Calif. -- Through three rounds of the nerve-wracking PGA TOUR Q-School, Husky grad Richard Lee is tied for 31st, while fellow UW alum Alex Prugh is 155th. Lee is 9-under (66-67-74-207) at the halfway point of the six-day, 108-hole tournament at PGA West (Nicklaus Tournament Course & TPC Stadium Course) in Palm Desert, Calif. He shot 2-over 74 on the Nicklaus course on Friday and remains in the hunt for one of the coveted 25 PGA TOUR cards up for grabs. The top-25 players and ties earn cards for the 2013 season, while the next 50 players and ties earn spots on the Web.com Tour. Lee is one shot off the current mark for PGA Tour cards. Prugh shot 75 on Friday and is well back of the pack at 4-over 220. Meen Whee Kim is 18-under overall and has a one-stroke lead. A total of 30 golfers are double-digits under par. |
