Richard Lee, Brock Mackenzie Advance at Q-School
Nov. 20, 2010
SEASIDE, Calif. - Former UW men's golf stars Brock Mackenzie and Richard Lee survived the second stage of Q-School qualifying to advance to the final qualifying stage to be held December 1-6 at Orange County National Golf Center & Lodge. By advancing, Mackenzie and Lee each remain alive for a chance to earn their PGA Tour playing card and at the very minimum will be partial qualifyers for the Nationwide Tour. Mackenzie and Lee each participated in the four-round second stage event at Bayonet and Black Horse Courses in Seaside, Calif. Mackenzie ended up tied for sixth after shooting a combined 10-under 278, while Lee was one stroke back with a 9-under 279. Mackenzie shot an impressive 7-under 65 -- the low round of the day -- to earn his way into the final. |
