UW Selected To Host Future NCAA Golf Regionals

INDIANAPOLIS - Washington was selected to host the 2014 NCAA Women's Golf West Regional on Tumble Creek course at Suncadia Resort in Cle Elum, Wash. and the 2015 NCAA Men's Golf Regional at Gold Mountain Golf Club in Bremerton, Wash., the NCAA announced on Thursday.

Washington was selected as one of three regional sites for the 2014 NCAA Women's Championship. Oklahoma State will host the Central Regional at Karsten Creek in Stillwater, Okla. and Florida State will host the East Regional at SouthWood Golf Club in Tallahassee, Fla.

Tulsa Country Club in Tulsa, Okla. will host the 2014 NCAA Championship.

Gold Mountain Golf Course in Bremerton was selected as one of six regional sites for the Men's Golf Championship in 2015. Also selected were The Sagamore Club in Noblesville, Ill, UNC Finley Golf Course in Chapel Hill, N.C., The Farms Golf Club in San Diego, Calif., The Rawls Course in Lubbock, Texas and The Course at Yale in New Haven, Conn.

Prairie Dunes in Hutchinson, Kan. was selected to host the 2014 NCAA Championship.

Washington's women wrapped up the fall season ranked No. 1 in the Golfweek/Sagarin rankings and No. 2 in the Golfweek.com rankings. The Huskies are poised to have many of their roster back in 2014 after they used a mix of players this fall that featured one junior, three sophomores and two freshmen.

The UW men wrapped up their fall schedule this week and are currently ranked No. 6 in the Golfweek.com/Sagarin rankings and are No. 7 in the Golfstat.com rankings.
